Radiesse is an injectable dermal implant with a novel mechanism of action that adds volume to correct contour irregularities as well as mild drooping. A product of Merz Aesthetics, Radiesse contains a calcium-based bio-stimulating agent that works to prolong the aesthetic effect obtained through the production of autologous collagen at the treatment site.
Radiesse is made of calcium hydroxyapatite particles (25-45 microns) that are suspended in an aqueous carrier gel containing glycerin and sodium carboxymethylcellulose. The calcium hydroxyapatite particles are of synthetic origin.
